About the studio
A small studio, making books slowly.
Stacked Stone is a memory studio in Ahmedabad. We are a handful of designers, photographers and bookbinders who believe the most important journeys of your life deserve a permanent home — not another folder buried in your phone.
We began in 2020 with a single book — a honeymoon album made for a friend who couldn't bring herself to sit and design 96 pages on a website. She sent us her camera roll and a one-page WhatsApp note. We made the book in silence, over three weeks. She cried when she opened it.
That book is the reason this studio exists. Everything we have built since is in service of that exact feeling — the surprise of being handed back a piece of your own life, slowed down and held still.
We are intentionally small. We take on only a limited number of commissions each month so that every book is read, designed and bound by a real person. There are no templates here. There is no preview screen. There is only the work, the patience of the wait, and the moment your parcel reaches your door.

Made for the long shelf
Archival paper, linen-wrapped boards, smyth-sewn binding. Built to still be on your family's shelf in fifty years.
